Covid-19: Only second doses of Covaxin, Covishield vaccines to be administered in Kalyan-Dombivli on Monday

THANE: The Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation announced that the vaccination drive will be conducted only across four centres in the twin cities on July 19, Monday.
Moreover, only those who are due for their second doses of Covaxin or Covishield will receive the jab, the civic body said.
All citizens above the age of 18 years are eligible to get the vaccine.
Covaxin
The second dose of Covaxin will be administered 28 days after getting the first dose.
In Kalyan, it will be available at KDMC school (Tisgaon UPHC). In Dombivli, the second shot of Covaxin can be taken at Sawalaram Krida Sankul.
Covishield
Citizens can get their second shot of Covishield only after the completion of 84 days since the first dose.
It will be administered at Acharya Atre Rangmandir in Kalyan and Savitribai Phule Natyagruha in Dombivli.
The civic body informed that the online slots for these vaccination centres will open at 10 pm on Sunday. Those interested can book their favourable slot on the CoWIN portal or Aarogya Setu app.
For offline vaccination, tokens will be provided at the respective centres on Monday morning. It is mandatory for citizens to submit a copy of their Aadhaar card at the centre for the same.
